Niles, Barton & Wilmer, LLP Summer Associate Spotlight: Ellen R. Joseph

Ellen Joseph is a JD Candidate at the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law.

Ellen is a member of the Transactional Team and is on track to complete both the Business Law Track and Alternative Dispute Resolution Track at Maryland Carey Law. She previously served as the American Bar Association Representative and will now serve as Maryland Carey Law Business Law Society VP, Women’s Bar Association DEI Chair, and Legislative Law 3L Representative.

Previously, she served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Judge Friedman and the Honorable Chief Judge Wells of the Appellate Court of Maryland.

Ellen received her undergraduate degree in Law & Society and a Minor in Business Administration from DeSales University, Center Valley, PA, where she received a scholarship to sing for the choir throughout college, studied abroad in London, United Kingdom, at St. Mary’s University in Twickenham, worked as a writing tutor, interned for a criminal law attorney, and presented her thesis before the Pennsylvania Political Science Association, while also participating in numerous leadership programs on campus.

Ellen is currently a Staff Sergent with the United States Air Force Reserve and completed serving as Miss World America Pennsylvania 2023 and won the Patriotic Award at Nationals.

With Ellen's busy schedule, we are delighted that she found time to join Niles, Barton & Wilmer, LLP this summer.
