R. Stark Merrifield, IV concentrates his practice in general insurance coverage litigation, construction defects, premises liability cases, related first party insurance matters and commercial litigation.
Prior to joining Niles Barton, Stark served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Angela M. Eaves of the Supreme Court of Maryland. While in law school, Stark was a research assistant who examined federal regulations surrounding the NCAA's ban on student athletes receiving compensation for use of their name, image, and likeness. Stark’s research helped prepare testimony for a briefing in front of the Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, United States Senate.
